This plot sounds do incredibly intriguing to me, and so completely different from anything else I've ever read!! I am really looking forward to reading this-- and plus, isn't the cover just gorgeous? I love the title, and love that it's written by a male author. We need MORE male YA authors, don't you think??
What is everyone else waiting on this week?
This sounds really interesting indeed. And male author! Awesome. I wish you'd linked the GR page. No matter though. ;)
ReplyDeleteMight I add the cover matches your WOW banner, hehe.
Agreed with the not many male authors and the fact we need more. They come up with amazing storylines-this being an example. Seen this around-it looks really interesting.
ReplyDeleteSounds like an interesting read. Will definitely look out for that book too. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHere's my WOW
That's true, I haven't read many male YA authors. This one sounds fantastic. I love the cover.

Glad you're waiting on it...and from the looks of your page, you'll probably be thrilled to know it opens with a Lewis Carroll quote, which is also where the title comes from:
ReplyDelete"Is all our life, then, but a dream
Seen faintly in the golden gleam"
Brian James (author of LIfe is But a Dream)
Wow that sounds really unique. I don't typically read this kind of fiction but it sounds like I'd really enjoy it. Good pick.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great, I don't think mental illness is written about enough in YA. Definitely agree we don't have enough male YA authors either
ReplyDeleteThe Cait Files

ReplyDeleteThis does sound like it would be one of those heart felt stories that would make me cry on a few occasions. Great pick and adding it to my TBR!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by The Bookish Babes!
Ooh, sounds good! I bet there's a twist and I love stories like that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the follows...totally stalking you too, lol
Wow, that is a gorgeous cover!
ReplyDeleteI'm really intrigued by this one as well. It seems like there are a lot of books about mental illness coming out lately -- they always make for a very psychological, thought-provoking read. I love the title too -- in this context, it's really creepy! And yes, we DEFINITELY need more male authors!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even noticed it was by a male author! The book sounds a-m-a-z-i-n-g! It's on my wishlist. I love mental health related books!
ReplyDeleteThat cover reminds me of the US one for Maureen Johnson's The Name of the Star, but the premise sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteReally liking the sound of this one!
