Follow Me Friday (6)

YAY for Friday! If you don't know, Follow Me Friday is a weekly book-blogger meme hosted by Parajunkee over at Parajunkee's View. Have a book blog? You can join in the fun too! Just visit Parajunkee's site at the pink link above (or the pic), be sure you are a follower of her blog and the blog she is featuring for the week, put your name in the Linky, create your own FF post on your blog, and then start commenting and following whomever you wish!

Wow, it has been a really long time since I participated in a Follow Me Friday, and I am so happy to be back after a really hectic and stressful month! Not only did I move, I also found out that I'm going to be basically taking over the library I work at as the new person in charge. (I am freaking out a little!!) Needless to say, it's nice to have blogging around to keep my sanity...

~This week's FF question~

GenreWars! What's your favorite genre and which book in that genre made it your favorite?

When it comes to YA fiction, I would probably have to say that dystopian novels are my favorite genre--I just recently read Divergent by Veronica Roth and absolutely loved it, but then there is also Wither by Lauren DeStefano, and I have The Hunger Games on my TBR list too, and I'm pretty psyched to read Enclave, since I've heard so many good things about it... yup, definitely a dystopian fan :)

What genres are you into?

  1. Hi
Following through from Parajunkee's. Dystopian doesn't really appeal but I did really enjoy Hunger Games:)

  5. As much as I loved The Hunger Games, a lot of dystopian doesn't appeal to me! I'd like to read Divergent though!
    Here's my follow friday.

  13. Hi, I also am really into dystopian lately. I loved Divergent! I am a teacher with a master's in library science who really wants to be a librarian. So I'm excited to be a new follower of yours. HOpe you'll drop by my blog as well.

  14. Thank you for following! Following back.

Wow! Librarian! I am insanely jealous. I think your line of work is wonderful and important to my (and my husbands) mental health. I need libraries like I need air. No joke.

Don't freak out too much :) (my friend is also a librarian. Lucky girls both of you!)

  15. Asking me to Pick my favorite genre is like asking me to pick my favorite food; There's no way I can come up with just one answer!

Follow me back to my blog and I'll explain - http://www.howardsherman.net

  16. Hopping through. New follower - GFC and Twitter! I am not a big dystopia fan, but I have heard so many good things about Divergent.

Jealous that you're a librarian. I'm thinking of going back for my MLIS in a year or so. I'd love to be a librarian. I want to do either youth/teen library work or academic law library work (I have a law degree).

  17. If dystopian novels had their own team, I'd definitely be one of the biggest supporters! :) Divergent has to be one of my favourite books too, and I absolutely ADORED Wither!

The Hunger Games is literally pure genius. You should probably move it to the top of your TBR pile -- I bet you'll love it ;)

Love your blog! I hope you have an awesome weekend!
