This week's Follow Friday question:
If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play?
Hmmm... it's one of those "thinking questions" this week... OK, so I HAD to come up with another answer to this one because apparently EVERYONE is choosing Lizzie Bennett from P&P and I didn't want to be the like 300th person with the same answer-- so SECOND answer is this: I would write myself as some super-hott and classy Victorian Cyber Steampunk Chick-- out to save the world through science, technology and sophisticated English manners! I'd have a wardrobe full of tight leather corsets, flouncy skirts, top hats and-- of course-- goggles for when I'm driving and flying around in my steam contraptions!! HA!! There-- no one is copying that answer lol ;)
<------- Aaaaaand... here is me (not really, but I DO have red hair!) in full-on Steampunk get-up! Woohoo, check out those googles, hott right?!? Yeah, you know you're jealous ;)
The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme for all of us awesome book bloggers, where we get to chat about all things "Bookish" over the weekend! It's hosted by the lovely Jennifer over at Crazy for Books. Feel free to click on LC's Book Blogger Hop icon to join in this week's Hop! ------->
~This Weeks Question~
What is the LONGEST book you have ever read?
When I was in high school, I was A LOT more ambitious when it came to reading-- I think the longest book I've ever read is The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky (how's THAT for a name??) Apparently, in order to become a famous Russian author, you need to write books nearly as long as the Bible, because that's exactly what this one was-- not quite as long as War And Peace, but the paperback copy comes in at a whooping 1072 pages!! And it was pretty heavy reading too, as I recall. Now I stick more to my YA fiction which reads a lot faster!

P.S. I'm hosting my very FIRST giveaway if you'd like to stop by :)
Wow, i am amazed at how many people want to be in Pride and Prejudice! lol I think it would be torture for me, I don't like to get dressed up or wear fancy clothes, or be all formal. It would be neat to live in England though, those beautiful settings, and handsome men. Although pretty sure there are handsome men in every era. Least one would hope so! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely blog!

Dude...a TON of people wanna be Elizabeth...Me, I'd want to be her quirky cousin Wilhelmina who hunts down wickham and gets even :P lol
ReplyDeleteOK everyone-- I CHANGED my FF answer for this week haha, because I didn't want to be the 300th person to have Elizabeth Bennett or some other 18th century romance chick as my character... even though they are still awesome :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!

Great post! I love that steampunk photo! So pretty. Steampunk has felt like it's on the verge of becoming the "next big thing" for ages now, but I'm secretly glad that it still feels kind of underground.
ReplyDeleteWow, so first of all, your blog is insanely gorgeous! I'm drooling over all your beautiful graphics.
ReplyDeleteI knew that a gazillion people would pick Harry Potter, so it wasn't very original, but I just couldn't help myself. I LOVE your answer though, definitely original, and makes me want to bump all the steampunk books on my list up to the top. New follower - have a great weekend! :-)
Hey LC, thanks for stopping by my blog!! Great answer, I really need to start reading more steampunk!!! New follower!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that would be so awesome! I'm a huge fan of steampunk too -- and even though people talk about corsets like they're the end of the world, I can't help but think that they look gorgeous. Also, I love wearing dresses so that would be a plus! We could roam Victorian London together, Lea! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by! I'm an old follower who just adores your blog!
Hope you have an awesome weekend!
I love the steampunk look! lol Steampunks chicks are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious, since you have red hair, are the girls in the Follow Me Friday button and other buttons you use on your site you? They are all so pretty.
