Um yeah, I went a little crazy at the library yesterday... and checked out a huge stack of books. However, this was due largely in part to the fact that I was hunting for the next book in Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series, and then stumbled across all of them-- brand-new, not yet read, freshly-processed-- behind the circ desk. Sa-weet!! So, of course, being the librarian and bookaholic I am, I swiped them all up :) Here are the other books I'm looking forward to starting! And of course because I'm awesome, there are links to their Goodreads summaries and reviews:Awaken by Katie Kacvinsky (Not in love with the cover, but it's gotten some great reviews!)
Wings by Aprilynne Pike (Mixed reviews on this one, but looking forward to seeing what it's like)
Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins (LOVED Hex Hall, can't wait to read this sequel!)
Zombies Don't Cry by Rusty Fischer (Thanks to my girl BookishBrunette who says this one is freaking amazing!)
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan (Looks like I'm on a zombie role!)
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan (Looks like I'm on a zombie role!)
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (As if I don't have enough series started already, but I had to get it!)
Aaaaand... now for my Vampire Academy books by Richelle Mead!

Girl! You got some awesome books this week :) I just finished Hex Hall and I cannot wait to read Demonglass. I bought Wings a few weeks ago at the Borders closing sale, I'm hoping its goog because the 3rd is pretty I want it for my collection.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy VA, just know once you start you will need to read them all, one right after their next. So get cozy and make a VA couple of days happen.
I'd say come check mine out but its not up yet (I'll do it tomorrow so check back then, lol)
Looks like you have an awesome selection at your library. I still need to start Frostbite, I read VA back in May.

I just finally bought the last book of the VA series. Or, not the last, but the last for me - I owned all of them except the middle... O_o Not sure how that happened, but I picked it up at a closing Borders, so all better.
ReplyDeleteLOVE The Forest of Hands and Teeth! Hope you enjoy.
Love your header!
Happy reading!

City of Bones is one my wishlist so I'd love to hear what you think. Do you seriously read all these books in a week? You're like some kind of superhero! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteGreat set! I thought Wings was wonderful. The follow-ups have been good but not as good. Zombies Don't Cry was very cute.

ReplyDeleteGreat IMM. You will love the Vampire Academy series, I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't finish it within a week! Bloodlines the spin-off series of VA comes out next week so make sure you read that too! I'm following your blog now:D

ReplyDeleteDude... it SOOOO is freaking amazing! I swear! ;)
ReplyDeleteAwesome library haul. ;) Wings is really cute, Forest of H&T was creepy, and yay for the VA series. I was luck enough to get Bloodlines a couple of weeks ago from Penguin Canada for the blog tour. So good.
ReplyDeleteThe Forest of Hands and Teeth was nothing short of awesome. Awaken was pretty good too, though not my fave. Enjoy all your awesome books!
ReplyDeleteStop by my IMM
I love your blog header. So pretty! That's a great selection of books. Vampire Academy was a series that I loved to hate... maybe not as much as the House of Night books, but I couldn't stop reading them even though they drove me crazy.
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks for stopping by my IMM.
ReplyDeleteYou are a librarian! I am so jealous. I'm a library page, but one day want to be a fixture behind the information desk. :)
You have a lot of great books this week. I need to read Hex Hall so I can read Demonglass! And I read a bit of Wings once, but wasn't into it... but I can be picky sometimes so I'm looking forward to giving it another shot.
And nice job finding those Vampire Academy books. :D I've only read part of the first book myself, but I can tell already they're really cool. :)
