In My Mailbox (5)

Photobucket

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Kristi over at The Story Siren, where we get to share with our readers the books that we've gotten recently, whether it's in the mail, from the bookstore or the library!
*****
Yay!! I actually BOUGHT books this week, which I usually don't do, but since Borders is having so many closing sales, I thought I would pick up a few that I've had on my TBR list. I also got a few from the library, so here is what came in this week! (NOTE: All of these titles are linked to Goodreads summaries and reviews :)

From the Library

Lost Voices by Sarah Porter
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

From the Store

  1. Yes, yes, yes! You got Vampire Academy!!! That is one of my favorite series' ever!! Woohoo! I'll admit, though, the first book pales a bit in comparison to the rest. It's like an introductory to the characters and plotline mostly but each book gets better and better. I really hope you like it. ^^
I didn't like Spellbound much so I hope it doesn't disappoint you. :/
Nonetheless, happy reading! Looks like you got a great haul there! Some of those are on my TBR list, too! :)

Hope you're having a great weekend!

  3. Lost Voices! I loved it! I was rather disappointed with The Forest of Hands and Teeth. =( Both of these books are love 'em or hate 'em type reads.

  18. The girl on the cover of The Forest of Hands and Teeth looks remarkably like Summer Glau. I just recently purchased that one myself, and I loved the VA series. Great books, here!

  25. I need to read more recent fantasy works. I'm mucking about with books from the 1960s and earlier most of the time. I am clearly missing out.
